Delete your Jemur data
For Jemur, the laundry weather app by OffstageApps.
In short: Jemur has no accounts. The only information about you on our server is your notification registration. You can delete it yourself in the app in a few seconds, or ask us by email.
Delete it in the app
- Open Jemur and tap the gear at the top right to open Settings.
- Under Alerts, switch alerts off.
Your notification registration is deleted from our server straight away. To also clear the settings kept on your phone, tap Start over at the bottom of Settings, or delete the app.
Ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app, email hello@offstageapps.com with the subject "Delete my Jemur data". Because Jemur has no accounts, tell us roughly when you turned alerts on and the area you set as home, so we can find your registration. We will delete it and reply within 21 days.
What is deleted
- Your notification registration on our server: the push token (a random code from Apple or Google), your location rounded to about 5 km, your drying spot settings, language, notification time and whether laundry is marked as out.
- Settings on your phone, when you tap Start over or delete the app.
Even if you do nothing, the registration is deleted when Apple or Google tell us the app is no longer installed, and in any case after 90 days without the app checking in.
What is kept
- Anonymous "Did it dry?" answers. They are stored without anything that identifies you or your phone and are not linked to your registration, so we cannot tell which answers were yours. They are kept to make the forecast more accurate.
- Technical logs at our hosting provider (IP address and time of each request), kept for a few days for security and then removed.
